Salvation

Salvation or ‘being saved’ has the meaning of being redeemed from the power of sin. It is a word that means to save, rescue, deliver, or set free. More often, the word salvation concerns an eternal, spiritual deliverance.

Salvation is attributed to none other but God who can save.

There is nothing that we can do on our own to guarantee our salvation, it is only by the grace of God that salvation comes.

Salvation! a plan conceived before the foundations of the world, it is the mystery of God that is now revealed (Ephesians 3:9).

It is a fact that everyone who has ever lived, will face a final judgement to determine whether he or she will end up in heaven or in hell.

Man was separated from God by sin and was not able to find his way back to God. The purpose for the coming of Jesus is to seek out and save the lost (Luke 19:10).

God loved you so much that he gave his only son for you. (John 3:16) says, ‘ for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Jesus sacrificial death on the cross has enabled your salvation. Jesus came to earth died on the cross went to hell to pay the price for your sin, this was the reason he came, he knew no sin yet in (2 Corinthians 5:21) it says that God made Jesus who knew no sin, to be sin for us. The moment the price for sin was paid Jesus was raised from the dead, triumphant over Satan. This is good news for you. God does not hold your sin against you, when he paid the price for you, he was your substitute, he has redeemed you to a new freedom from sin, a new relationship with God and a new life of love.

You are the one who has to choose Jesus as your Lord and savior, you have a free will and therefore the right to choose your own destiny, God will not force you to receive salvation, you will have to make the choice yourself. In (Romans 10:9-10 KJV) it says ‘That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation’.

Come to Jesus now. It does not matter what kind of sinner you think you are, it does not matter what you have done. Jesus will accept you as you are, just go to him and he will cause you to be born again, he will take care of everything for you because he loves you.
